Initial Revision of Model Context Protocol (MCP) Spec

Anthropic has released the initial 2025-06-18 revision of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) specification. This protocol defines how clients and servers negotiate versions for backwards and forwards compatibility. Implementers should note that SDK adoption will vary, and prior versions may remain in use for some time.
